“Television has the ability to show society itself in an immediate, real-time way. Sometimes seeing that reflection feels good, other times, it’s awful, but one can never deny that whatever we turn a lens on can be really engaging.

In the right hands, it can be transcendent.”
— Cam Frierson

Landing on a career in entertainment was a choice that was made for Cam Frierson quite early in life. At the age of three, she was struck on the head by a falling television set.

Never has TV made such an impact on the life of one person.

Cam pushes to be at the vanguard of teams that create media that matters because she believes in the power of television to leave its mark on those who view it.

They can skip the part about getting bonked on the head by falling home entertainment equipment.

Cam Frierson has extensive experience producing and writing stories across a range of genres for networks and streamers including HBO Max, HULU, FOX, NBC, HGTV, DISCOVERY+, MTV, E!, OWN, History, BET, and CMT. A leader with experience in live, stage, and studio projects, she executes ideas from concept to completion in Post. Her projects sizzle with creativity that showcases a love of the written word and pop culture. A true TV fan, she fosters collaboration and supplies unparalleled organization with a dollop of “comedy at no additional charge.”

Remembering Carol Duvall, “Queen of Crafts”

(January 10, 1926 – July 31, 2023)

A pioneer in television, Carol Duvall brought the joy of crafting into millions of homes for years. Paper crafts always seemed to offer a certain delight, but beading, jewelry-making, sculpting or “cane making” in polymer clay, many handcrafts could find a loving home in the spotlight of Carol’s shows. Be it on local news in Detroit, Michigan, ABC’s The Home Show, or a decade of daily programming on The Carol Duvall Show on HGTV, Duvall educated, showed off the talents of other creatives and even paved the way for the success of Martha Stewart.

She was a professional, loyal to her crew and friends and loved what she did. And believe me, she did it all exceptionally well because she was extraordinary.

Carol Duvall passed away July 31, 2023 in Traverse City, Michigan. Our love and prayers go out to her family.
